Diaphragm compressor is a positive displacement compressor with special structure. The cylinder does not need to be lubricated, the sealing performance is good, and the compressed medium does not come into contact with any lubricant. Therefore, diaphragm compressors can compress gases of extremely high purity, typically 99.999% pure. Diaphragm compressors are especially suitable for the compression, transportation and bottling of rare gases. In addition, it is also suitable to use diaphragm compressor products for highly corrosive, toxic, flammable, explosive, and radioactive gases.
(1) The compression medium puts forward requirements for the compressor, including whether a small amount of leakage of the medium is allowed, whether it is allowed to be polluted by lubricants, and the exhaust temperature limit, etc.;
(2) The displacement of the compressor;
(3) The outlet and inlet pressure of the compressor.
Under the premise of meeting the following process requirements, if there are several types or models of compressors to choose from. It is determined after further selection and comparison of various compressors.
The gas properties in chemical and petrochemical industries require the selection of compressors as follows.
(1) Security issues
If the compressed gas in chemical industry and petrochemical industry is flammable, explosive or corrosive, the selected compressor (seal structure, lubrication equipment) and the equipped motor and electrical appliance should meet the corresponding explosion-proof requirements, or Take forced ventilation for explosion protection.
(2) Liquefaction during compression
Chemical and petroleum gases may be liquefied during the compression process, so attention should be paid to the separation and removal of condensate. In order to avoid cylinder collision accidents, the clearance volume of the cylinders at all levels of the compressor should be slightly larger. At the same time, the crankcase should pay attention to proper sealing. Prevent the liquefied gas from penetrating into the crankcase and reduce the flash point and viscosity of lubricating oil.
(3) Exhaust temperature limit
Some compressed media will decompose at higher temperatures, and the exhaust temperature should be limited at this time. Such as butadiene, cyclopentadiene, etc., are easy to generate polymers that stick to the intake and exhaust valves during the compression process. If the valve is not closed in time, it is required that the exhaust gas temperature at all levels should not exceed 100°C.
The discharge temperature of the piston compressor should not exceed the flash point of the lubricating oil.
In addition, when compressing toxic gases, full attention should be paid to the limitation of compressor leakage. For compressing corrosive gases, the compressor should pay attention to anti-corrosion and material selection.
